I started with Calphalon pans for about 20 years. Some of my pieces are pretty worn out and told the truth, I was always a bit 'to wash them by hand, always tired.
I Teflon Professional, commercial teflon, copper, triple, triple stainless One, etc. etc. etc. Overall, my pots and pans I have taken very well and had a huge amount to abuse. I lived for several years in Mexico and she came with me and vice versa. I used to cook for 10-12 people eachDay, so got to use a lot.
I have tried to get my old work horses, especially the latest Calphalon lines were anything but great. I hated the new "non-stick commercial that I bought a few months ago. The pots were lighter and thinner.
I've seen the ads for Unison, and was fascinated. Not so thrilled with the prices, but Amazon is great for comparing offers.
I have this little cooking sets Kapers [...], a deal. And 100%dishwasher safe? YES!
So …. Sear slide, eh? One major drawback is the lack of non-stick cookware "stickiness" needed to get a really great sear meat and other foods. Sear the new stuff work? Last night I had my favorite pot roast recipe in this cute 5 quarts oven. It 's just large enough to make a stew for 2-4, 3 pounds chuck roast to fit right.
He did better than my other pans sear? Marginal. It is brown very well,but so do my Dutch oven. I refuse to extend a few hundred dollars to LC and then have someone set to lift it out of the oven for me. And 'to create the classic' love 'is so loved by connoisseurs? Nope. But then I never really need to make a fabulous meal, either. It is a tossup.
This small stove worked just great on the stove top and oven. The only downside to the whole line that I can see so far is that the lids are not as good at all, are briefstoo easy, so that the steam escape and cause burns, and the ability to burn a dry dish. I double sealed cover with the parchment when I used it, but still feel that my cook flesh out dry than usual.
I also covered "pancake" (strange setup) and the cover is also loose. A bit 'disappointing, but overall, taking into account the new surface "non-stick hard and the ability to wash in the dishwasher, this line deserves a solid 4 1 / 2 stars, aslong as possible to use [...] or less preserved.

Calphalon One Nonstick 5-Quart Saucier with Steamer Insert
I’ve been upgrading cookware and decided to buy it piece by piece rather than getting a set. This is a pan that I purchased to be able to get versatility and performance in one pan. It’s filled that role and then some. The construction is top notch. Heavy, but not dutch oven cast iron heavy. Well built and designed. The handle on the lid stays cool to the touch even after 30 minutes of vigorous boiling, the handles on the sides likewise unless they’re placed over open heat (let’s say you don’t center it over a burner). Because of the steamer insert this pan works well as a steamer. Because of the high sides and non-stick surface and thick bottom (and sides) the pan also can serve as a high-walled skillet. I notice the pan retains heat very well (again more nice design on this piece). Though I wanted a highly versatile pan, suddenly I find this is the pan I reach for most of all, whether for soups, or sauteing, or steaming, or for many of my cooking tasks that normally I used a special pan for, this versatile saucier just seems to work. I’m more an All Clad fan, but the performance of this pan is winning me over to Calphalon One. Also the price/performance ratio is very nice, excellent performance and great price. Did I mention the glass lid? It also really makes a difference in the extra versatility of this pan. The non-stick surface isn’t like the sprayed on teflon pans, rather it’s bonded and a little rougher. It’s not absolutely ‘no-stick’ but offers a little grip. The real benefit here of a bonded coating is that it’s much stronger. I usually use non-metallic utensils, but every now and then might use a metal ladle for instance, and nary a scratch can be seen, it’s just an excellent surface. Overall I can’t find a weakness and am very satisfied with this pan.

I got my cheeky about 2 years and use constantly. It 'so versatile – brown the meat, make the sauce and add rice or noodles – voila! E 'ideal for many recipes. It is deep enough to contain a great recipe, but for small meals, too. Clean-up is a breeze. Plus, I use them so often that in general is once again set to work before they are stored in the room. You will love this dish! If you have a specific price, to buy several gifts! I was watching the price on this, very often, because II have relatives and friends who like this to give.
